Foreign genetic testing is better than local? Break the myth!
Many body check centers or medical institutions in Hong Kong provide genetic testing services. After collecting guests samples, they will transfer them to the genetic company for testing and analysis. However, due to investment costs and technical support issues, very few Hong Kong genetic companies have their own laboratories for testing and analysis. Most of them will cooperate with other independent or overseas genetic companies and then forward the samples to them for analysis. Usually, they will choose the genetic companies in Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, the United States, Germany and other European and American countries. They will send back to the customer after the analysis results are completed.
Many customers mistakenly believe that foreign detection technology is more advanced, more reliable and more accurate than Hong Kong. In fact, this is not the case. Genetic analysis is a combination of statistical and epidemiological scientific research. Different ethnic groups have different risk, such as liver cancer. The incidence of white race is relatively lower than that of Asians or Orientals. Just imagine, the sample was sent to a German genetic company for analysis, they used white or German genetic data to compare with you, and the results must be very different from your actual situation.
